Near accident....Just before 2008 ends....

Nearly got myself into an accident while travelling on the PIE just now. A STUPID NEW VIOS jus cut into my lane when i am just next to him and i have to stepped hard on my brake!!! I honked him NON STOP!!!
Is he blind?? Does he even know how to drive the stupid car?? I am so pissed that i high beamed him all the way and stare at him when i passed him. As usual, young punk trying to be funny after getting their license. Haiz. Kids nowadays.. *tsk* *tsk* *tsk*....

Why cant the people learn how to drive properly and smartly??

Anyway last day of 2008 and i should be thankful for all the good things i have gotten and pple whom i have met. I should also be thankful for the people who has caused me unhappiness how lucky i am to have great friends and family around me. To show them that no matter how much they wan me to unhappy, i WONT be!!

To all the good people out there, thank you for everything in 2008 and wish all of you a good year ahead (esp with the financial downturn). Hope 2009 will be a better year!!! :)

Taken for granted yet again

I do realise that not only people close to you will take you for granted, people you work with will take you for granted excessively too. Maybe some will think that i am a petty, calculative person, some may think differently. Whatever it is, i realised that no matter how good natured you are, you will bound to meet some who are not. Many are just wolves in sheep's clothings. *Sighing*

I do not wish to talk much about this incident as it involved a current working colleague. I can only say that this incident will only further deters me from being nice and tolerant towards others in future. Though many times i told myself that only minority of the human race are bad, evil people, however, nowadays the people i met are somehow bad and evil. How can i bring myself to be still nice towards them knowing that somehow someone will stab me somewhr sometime. This is getting quite depressing especially its a person i used to like. I was quite affected over this incident and since then, i have decided to just finished what i am supposed to do and will never want to have any crossed paths with this colleague anymore.

There is a saying in chinese that says: 好心没好报。

做人真的很累，尤其是吃力不讨好的事。做了还要给人批评的一文不值，那又何必花那么多心思呢?

Yipee!! Dunno when is the last time i ever won in a lucky draw. Anyway this is not really a lucky draw.. but rather a lucky pick from the many 'wishes' hanging on a xmas tree at Vivocity.

Concerts, concerts & countdowns!!

Yes, i am spending a bomb on concerts again!! After going to quite a few concerts last year (Ah Mei, Sammi Cheng, Jacky Chueng etc), this year I went and am going to about 2 or more (Jay Chou, Andy Lau). Other than these, i have bought my mum the Liza Wang concert tix as her xmas present. :( Wanna cry out loud!! I am soooooooo broke now!!!

And here i am going to sistic website booking the year end countdown party tix!! Oh god.. my money have all gone to sistic!!

Anyway, enough of complaining.. hehe.. just wanna be happy while i still can at the price still affordable to me (next few mths to eat bread and drink water only.....). hahaha

Scary incident @ 'Mono'

Been to Mono(KTV above Dragonfly) for a few times, this time was the scariest. Scared the hell out of me. Went there for a fren's bday. Heard another fren told me abt his fren ever fell down the spiral staircase at Mono after goin to ladies on 3rd flr. Didnt pay much attention to it as I have been thr a few times n nothing has happened (so far...)...

After quite a few drinks, sitting chatting and waiting for our turns to sing songs, we heard a commotion near the stairs. Someone was shouting tat a ger has tripped and fell and knocked her head against the side table near it. OMG!! Someone actually jus tripped and fell and when i walked over i saw blood. Then i knew she is the bday ger's fren. She looked like she was drunk yet concussed after the knock on her head. Heard the ambulance came and we looked down, saw she was carried onto the stretcher and on her way to hospital.

Poor bday ger. she had such a shock. As she had quite a few drinks oreadi, she took sometime to realise wat was happening ard her.. then suddenly the truth hits and she panicked. One of our fren sent her to hospital. Heard on the next day that her fren was fine and was discharged. Hope everything was fine despite the incident.

TO BDAY GER: Wish you a happy birthday nonetheless and hope you like the present we bought!!! :)

Wedding dinner on 11.11.08

Wedding huh?? wow.. such a long time since i last attended a wedding dinner.. i guess its like since last July. omg.. tat long ah??

anyway went to fren's wedding dinner @ Grand Plaza @ City Hall on 11.11.08. Was late cos at office waiting for eileen. left office only when she left hse.. end up due to jam, i was later than her..hahahaha..

overall quite quiet, not the 'make groom super drunk' type of wedding..haha.. face was red but i think he is still ok.. dishes not bad.. only 8 of us @ the table so all get to eat more.. but think the dessert is not nice.. :(

dinner ends at 1045pm.. me n eileen cant bear to go hme..haha.. long time no see n no talk liao..haha.. sat @ the lobby sofa and chat til 12mn.. finally hav to go cos her hubby sms her.. n bb waiting at hme..

KL - here i come again!!

yipee!! goin msia tis wkend again. tis time is a family day cum treasure hunt organised by my company. 4 in a car makes up a team to go treasure hunting from KL all the way to PD. hehe.. about 130km long of journey.

be goin up on fri noon time.. not sure what time wil i be back on sunday though... hehe..

wish myself good luck and win their first prize back..hehe.. RM1,500 / team!!

Back to Singapore!!

i was back to sin on 28th Oct after a LONG drive. but overall the trip was quite fun. wat i really did was eat and sleep and walk ard and laze ard..hahaha

Langkawi - raining, no sun tanning, ate and drink at irish pub, went shopping at their 'biggest' shopping mall which is not even as big as our harbourfront ctr, drove ard with rented car. However, the resort was nice!! Each chalet is evenly spaced out and they even have suites on water (but of cos too ex for us haha). From lobby to anywhr in the resort we have to take a tram-like car. Feels like goin to the zoo when in that tram..hahha..

KL - Drove 4-5hrs and was quite lost in KL city itself. haiz.. plus the hotel i stayed was a new one, so its not even stated in any of the msian maps.
Tried maggi goreng at Jln P. Ramli after a drinking session at 'The Beach Bar'. Went to Bangsar for a drink the next day too.

Genting - The up and downhill was making me so giddy i almost vomitted. :(
All rooms were fully booked due to PH. luckily we booked before we go. casinos and arcades (n everywhr else) so packed with pple. almost suffocated...haha..
went to play jackpot after midnite(lesser pple).. won the 1st day but lost on the 2nd day. haaha.. expected.....

Malacca - on the way back to sin, stopped by for chicken rice balls... quite nice n cheap!!!

Then drove another 2hrs back to sin on average abt 150-160km/hrs.. hehehe...

cant wait to go on another trip!!! yipee!!! :)

Msia road trip!!

excited!! going on road trip (though its jus to different parts of msia).. still excited.. hehe.. cos its driving on our own and will be stopping by quite a few places(if time permits)...hehe..

Schedule of trip:-

• 2 days langkawi
• check out and passby Ipoh for food
• drive down to KL and check in
• 2 days KL
• check out and drive up to Genting
• 2 days at Genting
• check out and drive down to Malacca for food
• HOME SWEET HOME!!

I should be back in Singapore on 28th Oct evening time.. :) Will update then.. tata..everyone have a good wk ahead.. :)

Mahjong wkend

goin to play mahjong with JR's frens tonite.. then tmr as usual will be with my parents..haha..
*counting counting* i have been playing mahjong with my parents almost every saturdays for like 4ever!! hahaah.. we dun have such habits last time.. but recently..hahaha.. *tsk tsk tsk* not good ah.. always lose $$ to mum n dad lor.. :(
become poorer for no reason..haha..
anyway tmr will work hard and win their $$ whhahahahaha.. *evil grin*

pain, paiN, paIN, PAIN!!!

its so painful!! went to crew room yesterday and kana stepped on foot by a stiletto heel!! that lady was even skinnier than me and oreadi my foot had a big patch of blue black!! i really can't imagine if the person is bigger in size.. OMG!!
now i need to walk like a 'bai ka'.. and its more painful than yesterday...
i even had nitemare abt my foot got so swollen that blood is splurging out.. and needs to be chopped off..hahaha.. come to think of it sounds comical..haha...

What is 人缘??

It goes beyond merely having good people skills, it conveys a sense of having a knack for dealing with all people as if brought to them by destiny.

Emotions

Unhappy yet have to act happy??

Happy yet cant express??

Have you ever come across such situations?? You bet i have...... I probably think that the actual roller coaster is not as adrenaline rushing as the emotional roller coaster is. Try Monday unhappy, then tues morning happy, afternoon til nite unhappy etc etc etc... The emotions drained u physically and mentally... So now you are tired mentally n physically... u go to zzzz... guess what?? you have dreams!!! They prevent you from resting well... to top it up.. you have nitemares... more emotional drainage thus affecting physical... did you notice?? tis is jus a cycle... which will go on and on and on and....... so how to reverse the effect or at least break the cycle?? the worst thing is I DONT KNOW!!!! so pls help!! not sure wat i can do to have lesser dreams, be less emotionally affected by things ard me.. etc etc etc....

Self Pity

Elizabeth Elliott once said, "Self-pity is a death that has no resurrection, a sinkhole from which no rescuing hand can drag you because you have chosen to sink."

People who regularly engage in self-pity usually have a very narrow perspective of the world. They often look at their lives and only see the failures, the disappointments, and the inadequacies. They're unlikely to find satisfaction at work, and their relationships feel bland because they're so focused on the negatives.

Now it's important that we do not confuse self-pity with depression. People do go through periods in life when their emotional state goes into upheaval because of some personal crisis. We should be sensitive to such cases and not brush them off as "whiners" or "self-pitiers".

The kind of self-pity I'm referring to is usually uncalled for, and intentionally sustained over a long period of time with little or no desire to truly make things better. Things are usually not that bad for these people; they have plenty of things to be grateful for, but they simply choose not to appreciate them.These people are usually miserable and make others miserable too by constantly pointing out what's wrong in their lives. They never seem to listen when we point out what's good and right in their lives; how the positive out-balances the negative. They don't want to acknowledge this because then they'd have no reason to feel bad for themselves.

The person who engages in self-pity is looking for sympathy, and it's usually in that sympathy that they hope to find some relief. It too quickly becomes an addiction, a quick fix they have to take again and again in order to limp from day to day. As someone once said, "Self-pity is one of the most unhappy and consuming defects that we know.

It is a bar to all spiritual progress and can cut off all effective communication with our fellows because of its inordinate demands for attention and sympathy. It is a maudlin form of martyrdom, which we can ill afford."We all engage in self-pity to some degree. But we should not let it become a habit. When you catch yourself doing it, check yourself.

Are things really that bad? Is there something constructive you can do to make things better? What about the aspects of your life you can be thankful for?

Jay Chou's concert 19.01.08

Concert again!! Haha, I had been goin to concerts so frequent for the past whole year. S.H.E, Jacky Cheung, Sammi Cheng, Ah Mei and finally the most awaited for, Jay Chou's(cos nvr been to his).

Reached there abt 6pm and saw quite many cars reaching too. Comparable to Jacky Chueng's concert as most pple who attended his concert are executives. But Jay's concert??!! Mostly zoom zoom cars..hahaa.. So excited looking at cars passing by me while i sit in my car waiting for Jess to arrive..hehe

Had dinner at the mushroom hotpot and left abt 8pm. Met up with my bro and the rest of his gang. Saw a super long queue but didnt wats that for.. Eager to go inside the stadium to help my fren buy the Jay's merchandise. Had never buy any concert merchandise before, abit mountain turtle...haha..

Then got to know the super LONG queue was meant for the merchandise!! OMG!! Cant believe it..haha.. managed to get a brochure of the merchandise available.. most of the items were sold out!!! Esp the jackets!! Selling at SGD65 each and were all sold out!! B4 we went into the stadium, saw this cute figurine and took a pic of it.. hehe..

Everything there that day was all abt queuing up..haha.. even toilets were longer queue than most of the concerts we attended. Drinks queue too!!

Finally the concert started with charming Jay coming out!! So excited!! Only at the 1st song and all the audiences sitting at the PB areas are standing up!! They stood thru out the whole concert!! So onz.. How i wish i get a seat thr too!! haha..

We had our light sticks & whistles (sponsored by my bro) and we waved thru out too.. haha.. The little minus point abt tis concert is Jay's voice that day. I guessed he sang too much on the 1st day (his actual bday) and plus his flu not fully recovered, he didnt sort of perform to his best standard on the 2nd day of concert. However, all the audiences were very supportive of him and sang with him, shouted encouraging words to him when possible thru out.

Overall, this is the concert i wanted to attend the most and yet didnt disappoint me at all. It would've been the best if his performance is his norm... haha.. but since he is sick.. wat can i say?? hehehe.. still hoping for him to come n hav concert soon(prob next yr according to him)..hehe..

Below is my luck for 2008. Sounds good.. hopefully my luck tis yr will be better.. haiz.. cos seems to be unlucky dunno like since forever...ahhaha..

Retro themed D&D

Howdy!! Attended my co's d&d at Pan Pacific Hotel on 11 Jan 08. Had a great time!! Laugh so hard that my jaws were so sore.. haha..

The emcee from the entertainment co was so funny.. just cant stop laughing..

• mingle ard at the cocktail area waiting for ballroom to open (eh.. sounds abit like wedding dinner..hehe)

• cant even recognise some colleagues tat day due to the outfit they are in!!

• CEO giving out long service award, with the longest of 30yrs of service!!

• lucky draw (nvr even got any prize out of the 40 prizes available sob sob..

Finally, the dinner ended at a late 1130pm. As no one is interested to do any retro dancing, therefore, i went back after tat... hahaha..

Overall a great nite and thanks to the committee members who put in alot of effort to make tis happened!!

Getting sick @ start of a new year :(

Flu! Flu! Flu!

Everywhr i go, I will bound to hear someone is down with flu. N this super killer flu is making everyone sick for weeks and not recover fully.

I was down with fever since last Wednesday till Sunday.. since sore throat not well yet, now even my lymph node is infected. My right side of neck was swollen and painful from yesterday. Can't really sleep well at nite as turning n tossing in bed will make my neck very uncomfy.

Man, this is the worse sore throat i ever had. N its so bad tat it infected other parts too!!

The worst thing is, Ken is not in town!! I am home alone!! Sob sob!! :(

N today supposed to go for D&D, I am still deciding if i should go. haha..

Okok.. enough complaining.. wish all a Happy Friday and enjoy ur wkend!! :)
